our six month old cat is in her first heat and she is peeing on our clothing and the dogs bed is this a normal phase for cats? will she stop after her cycle? what can we do to stop this behavior?

This has happened with all my cats!!! When they are 1-2 years of age they stop being affectionate!! Then once they are alittle over 2 years of age they become more affectionate than ever!!! Do you know what it is?
