my cat is very fussy and only plays with a stick i wave it on the wall and she stands on 2 paws and with the other 2 paws she tries to reach the stick sometimes when its too high she use her mouth or jumps and my cat also like clockwork mice!

Toy on a stick. Like a fuzzy pom pom etc. You can get sticks with catnip at the end too and cats normally like that. By the way, ignore Darkfire. CATNIP IS NOT A DRUG!!!!!!!

i would say other my cat likes dangling things such as a peice of string or sometimes a paper ball

simple piece of paper that is about the size of a quarter after you roll it up like a ball. they love it more than any toy out there. try it
