When I was in the pet store today, I noticed that they now sell Premium Choice litter in bulk - $0.33/lb if you bring your own container. That seems like a fabulous deal to me… but I’ve never used this type. It said it’s 99% dust free, clay-based, clumping… so it sounds ok…
Anyone used this before?

Which pet store is this? The bin in petco isn\\\’t nearly that cheap (the bin at petco works out almost $2 a pound, it\\\’s really overpriced for what it is). I bought a jug of premium choice\\\’s \\\”all natural unscented\\\” variety cat litter once in the past when I was at walmart for something else (I rarely ever shop there which is why I haven\\\’t bought it a second time) and it seemed fine, and was very inexpensive compared to most brands. I don\\\’t know if that\\\’s what\\\’s in the bin though. I bought the \\\”all natural\\\” instead of the \\\”multi-cat\\\” or whatever the other one on the shelf was because I didn\\\’t want scented litter.
Frankly unless it\\\’s noticeably scented I\\\’d probably be willing to give it a try at that price. If it clumps well enough to clean easily without breaking up the clumps and isn\\\’t too dusty (regardless of what it says, litters vary in dustiness even from batch to batch for the same brand, so you really just have to try it out and see for yourself) then I see nothing wrong with it, unless of course your cat just doesn\\\’t like it. Obiously if your cat won\\\’t use the litter it\\\’s not worth any amount of money regardless. Give it a shot, I say.

Yeah, at that price, why not try it. With two cats, litter gets expensive!!

I\\\’ve been using World\\\’s Best litter, which is made from ground corn. Works great, but it\\\’s expensive. So now I\\\’m trying FreshAire with Bio-Filters. It\\\’s made from two kinds of organic clay plus pine - and now they have one with cedar also, which I love. This stuff clumps nice and tight and is only $12/20 lb plastic bucket. So far, I\\\’m liking it. I get it at Petsmart.
