My adult stray cats just have kittens.The problem is,one has a short tail.He’s the only one that has a short tail among my stray cats.Is there other cats that has a short tail?

There is one cat known for its taillessness - the manx. Actually they can have any length of tail - long, short, bob (just a nubbins), or tailless. This is a genetic mutation. Many manx are born with long tail, only to lose the tail as they grow older. The Cat Fanciers Association only considers the tailless ones appropriate to be shown as manx, although the others can be shown as others. Whether your kitten is part manx or not doesn\\\’t really matter without a paper trail. But the mutation should not cause any problems - and don\\\’t be surprised if the rest of the tail drops off.

Sure! It\\\’s just genetics! All cats are different. Some cats are born with long tails, some short, and there are even occurrences of cats born without a tail at all! Embrace his differences! ![]()
