Before treating an illness in a cat, you must know what the illness is. Veterinarians are the specialists in diagnosing illnesses as well as treating them. I suggest taking it to the vet. Guessing at an illness can be deadly. For instance, an antibiotic not only kills most bad bacteria, but also kills good bacteria that help fight off some viruses, some bad bacteria, and some fungi. If a cat has a virus that its good bacteria usually helps fight off, then giving the cat an antibiotic may sentence it to death.
