what would be wrong if my cat doesnt meaw

If this is sudden behavior, I’d be concerned, especially if she seems lethargic or depressed, and a vet visit would be in order. However, if she’s always been on the quiet side, but otherwise seems happy and healthy, then it’s perfectly normal, and it’s just her nature. Cats are individuals, just like humans. I’m sure you must have a few human friends who don’t talk much. Try “talking it up” with your kitty to see if she responds. One correspondent even went to the library and got a CD with sounds of cats meowing, and played it for her cat. A week later, the cat marched right up to her and gave a clear and vocal “meow.”

Sometimes cats (like people) just need a bit of encouragement.If your cat remains silent, just enjoy her for herself. You might even count your blessings, as other people are troubled with excessive vocalization in their cats

well my cat doesnt meow and i asked the vet… some breeds of cats dont always meaw it could be a quiet kind of cat… otherwise if its out of the blue… it could have something wrong with it such as listed

1. depression
2. lethargic
3. or even some kind of sickness

to be sure consult a vet

she is upset or mabe she/he has a hurt throat

her throat might hurt.

it is probably using its wildlife senses. Cats in the wild hardlyever meow because ue body language to communicate. cats only meow because they noticed that we use sounds for communication so thats why they meow. Maybe your cat is just using its wild senses. Im not sure about this idea but maybe if you want him to meow again you should talk to him a lot in a high tone of voice.

im a vet her throat hurts!

Cats dont always meow but be careful that nothing is in her neck. My mom had a cat that was shot in the neck by a bb gun and it could not meow. the bb bulit was taken out by a vet. get it cheaked out it is painful!!!!!!!
