When you see something profane posted by a user (like d1cksss, ilovepussy or fuckdatshit), please don’t comment by saying how gross they are. That just eggs them on. Instead, take action like this:
1. Report it immediately.
2. If it is a question, then simply report it
3. If it is an answer, report it and minus it WITHOUT commenting. If an answer is minused a lot, then it will not be clearly visible.
4. If it is extremely offensive, contact the mod, Catsdotcom (though that really doesn’t do much) and request to remove it.
Hope I helped, because responses to spammers are just what they want. And please, never believe what they say to be true.

This is NOT a great post. 
By commenting on those users & by repeating their profane & offensive names, you, yourself, have singlehandedly egged them on & engaged in the exact inappropriate behavior you so speak of stopping.
These so called do-good posts are 100% pointless. All they are doing is preaching to the choir & proving to the abusers that they are bothering the good members here which only gives them further amunition.
You want this board to be good one? Then stop bothering with off topic - and in this case specifically OFFENSIVE - posts such as this one and focus on cat questions only. :/

I'm sorry, Idiotsrhere. We seem to need this, though, because many of the young kids here react wholly incorrectly to these situations. But, thank you for your time taken to post your opinion.

Yes, I agree. What if a child uses cats.com and sees the innappropriate names on cats.com.

yeah, my dad saw the cussing the other day and he said i cant get on cats.com anymore. i had to sneak on here when he was at work to tell you guys. please help me, if you guys can stop the cussing maybe he will let me back on. this is my favorite website and i hate having to forget about it. please help!
