Why does my cat have black feces?

3 Answers  |  Asked By: ReniSqueaky   159

Ok first my cat stopped using her box awhile back. Then she started eating Cat Cafe food and barely eats. Before she even got on this food there was a possibility she had a urinary tract infection. Plus her feces had pieces of my feather boa in it. Please help me with this!

Black feces is because of blood in the feces, usually higher up in the digestive tract (low in the digestive tract usually results in bright red). She may have an intestinal blockage from eating the feather boa or some other non-food object and this can be FATAL if not treated. A urinary tract infection is serious too and needs to be dealt with as well, WHY HAS THIS CAT NOT SEEN A VET? It is clearly VERY ill.

Also, cat cafe is absolute garbage, it\\\’s as bad as special kitty. Even Purina would be healthier, and that\\\’s saying a lot! Please don\\\’t feed this to your cat, it is nothing but grain, grain and more grain sprayed with a bit of animal digest to trick cats into eating it. It\\\’s not cat food, it\\\’s just junk.

PLEASE get your cat to a vet ASAP or you may be burying a pet soon!

eek… sounds like you may want to make a trip to the vet!!! especially if you suspect a UTI & never did anything about it. cat cafe is not a good quality brand, so that could also be not sitting well with her.
