My 4yr, fixed male is lethargic with a 102.4 temp will not eat or drink, has been this way for over 24 hours. He is keeping his eyes closed, he tolerates being petted, his belly being rubbed and his legs touched, but does not want to be moved. He had been outside during the day cruising the block, and has not had anything to eat or drink since yesterday a.m., he also has not used the litter box, any thoughts?
I have a 4 yr old male tom cat who is fixed. He has access to being outside and came home yesterday looking and acting bad. He is lethargic, not eating or drinking and has not used the litter box for over 24 hours. He keeps his eyes shut, wags the tip of his tail and tolerates me touching all of him. I tried rubbing water around his mouth but he just kept his mouth shut..any ideas?
Keywords: eyes shut, lethargic, no food, no water, temp

I really don’t have any advice other than to take him to a vet. There are so many things this could be. Good Luck.

I am unable to bring him into the vet, I am caring for 6 children right now and can not fit all of them into a Mazda! After work we will be going in to see the Dr. Until then, I am crossing my fingers.

okay. It's just important you get him to the vet as soon as possible. He could be fatally ill. I'll cross my fingers too.

Cats normal temp is 101 to 102.2. I definitely would get him to a vet but at least you know his temp isn’t that high right now. Anything could be wrong as well as getting clipped by a car.

sometimes people think they know it all. Please kat do not waste your breath telling someone something he already knows.
