I know what catnip is but i’m worried if its safe for cats.

Catnip is perfectly safe for animals. Depending on the cat, it has many different reactions. The plant (Nepeta), affects the pheromone receptors in their brains. At pet stores, you can buy the actual plant to grow yourself, ground catnip to put in toys and anywhere you want the cats to like, and you can also buy catnip oil to spray on areas that they may like, and scratching posts. I have three cats, and they each have their own reactions. Larry gets very excited and starts rolling around in it, Cuddles starts running around, and Timmy just lays near it. You don\\\’t have to worry about the amount you give them, as it\\\’s a mint type of plant.

I don\\\’t think there are any negative aspects to catnip, if there was, they probably wouldn\\\’t sell it at stores.

Yes it is very safe it especially helps when your cat has a cough but it is a very good way to keep your cats from getting sick.

It is safe but some cats may react aggressively after a roll in the catnip. We had a cat once who would start attacking the others after he had a dose of catnip. He was a sweetie but catnip caused a personality change in him. Growling, hissing and downright ornery!
