My cat gets cysts, the most recent biopsy did not show definite cancer cells, should I wait until it does? The vet is just guessing it may be cancer and wants to charge 600.00 to take it off.

I would definitely have it removed if it bothers the cat in any way. But I would get a second opinion first. That sounds very high to remove a cyst… but I supose it would depend on where the cyst was as well. It could be entangled and involve a lot of intricate work on the part of the surgeon.

Cysts tend to grow, most of the time they will continue to grow until it must come off because of the size or turns into cancer and you lose your pet. You could always shop around for a cheaper vet. Sometimes vets that are in country areas and don’t have all of the fancy equipment will do the surgery for a more reasonable price, but then they don’t have the facilities if something goes wrong to save your pet also.
