My kitty chases anything that flies into the house (bugs, ants, and new today, BEES!). I am very allergic. Today, I had to get the cat away from the bee and spray it with Raid, and then wipe down with water/towel everywhere I sprayed with Raid. What would happen if 1) my cat got stung, and 2) my cat got stung in the mouth!? (she attempts to swat and then eat bugs).
I know there is already a question on cats.com (http://www.cats.com/question/catcare/safety/can-cats-get-stung-by-bees/?search=bee%20stings) but I was looking for some more info.
Thanks!

i’m no expert, but i think that the sting on your cat might give it an allergic reaction, or swell or something might not react to it., very similar to humas. well, to help solve your problem, the bee eventually died because if it stings someone the stinger will fall out and it’ll die. my cats are sometimes eating ants, spiders, moths, and they’re fine. i think they just throw it up w/ all the grass they’re eating. but i assume the if your cat DID eat a bee, the stinger might puncture the stomach or something inside the cat and harm her. has anything happened since your cat got stung by the bee? i did a little reasearch about cats & bee stings, and there are some symptoms & things to help you out on your bee search. by the way, has anything happened to your cat since the incident with the bee, any reactions?

0 Hi Katwoman - She wasn't actually stung, I'm just asking what would happen if she was. If more bees entered the house today she could be stung. We work during the day so she could spend all day chasing bees around! If she did have a severe allergic reaction, I wouldn't be home to see it. But I will certainly look for bee carcasses around and any bumps on her when I get home.

My dog got stung in the mouth, and she clawed up her own face! It was like she was trying to get the pain out. A cat would probably do the same thing.

My cats eat bugs alot(especcially now that it’s summer)and they try to eat bees and whospers too.So far with my cats the only thing thats happened is they jump and spit it out because they realize it bites back. But some cats may get an allergic reaction and if your cats do get stung and develop some kind of reaction to it take them to the vet.

i have an outside cat and he likes to chase dragonflies, mosquitoes, bees, etc. so yes your cat could get stung and you should bring him to the vet to get prescription for it. bee stings could get very dangerous to small animals like a kitten.
