Catnip is safe for kittens. Many kittens don’t start having crazy reactions to catnip until they are older than 2 months, and some cats never do. Roughly 50-70 percent of cats react to catnip. If your kitten just doesn’t like catnip, try different brands or purchase fresh catnip. If all else fails, a fuzzy toy or feather would provide just as much entertainment for a kitten.
