The average number of kittens in a feline litter is 4–6.

In seven years, one female cat and her offspring can theoretically produce 420,000 cats.

Only 1 in 12 of those 420,000 cats born finds a home. :o(

Even if you found homes for all your cats, you are still taking away homes that other homeless cats could have had by adding to the population.

There are no excuses for your allowing a pet cat to have kittens.

wow. you should definitely spay your cat. a female cat can and her babies can have up to 200 thousand cats in 5 years. that is so many cats stray or unwanted, and if you dont spay her, she will be contributing much more unwanted cats on the street.
also, if you spay your cat, it will become much nicer and much more loving, as it wont have those hormones to go into heat.
overall, it is a much better idea to spay your cat.
some vet clinics offer spaying and neuturing for as little as 3 dollars per cat.

the most amount of litters a female cat can preduse in a lifetime is 3to 4. once a cat has reached these numbers, if they try to mate,thier system in there body fails because it has done it to its limit.
there are normally about 4-5 kittens in each litter, so it takes alot from the system.
but please, lots of times kittens dont find homes and have to be put to sleep, so please spay and nuter your pets! you can help stop this cruel act. many are born, just to die. its so sad! :o(
