I would recommend taking a stool sample to your vet to determine what kind of worms your cat has. Chances are if one has worms they both do. Especially if they have fleas.

Tapeworm segments look like small pieces of rice when they pass in a cats stool, but when they dry and stick to the hair under a cats tail, they look like sesame seeds. Roundworms are longer, spaghetti-type worms that usually cause diarrhea, vomiting, or weight loss. Hookworms and whipworms are other long white worms that live in and damage the intestines. Regardless of the variety, worms are a nuisance and a threat to your cats health. If live worms or segments are not observed externally, a microscopic fecal examination for worm eggs by your vet is the best way to discover if intestinal worms are present. No matter the circumstance, it is best to check with your veterinarian about diagnosis and treatment.

It is good the male is fixed. You should take him to the vet again or if you are on a tight budget, get him medicine to help the worms go away. You should only treat the female if she has worms too. You can buy medicine at Farm and Fleet or a Pet store. Hope this advice helps!

if you have a petsmart of petco near your house, just go to their store and ask for a deworming mediacation, and get a medication that protects against fleas. it is best to get a stool sample of each of your cats, and bring them to the vets to have them dewormed, for a total of 20-40 dollars…. i hope this works.

I would go to the vet. What is sold at pet stores isn't as strong or effective as what the vet carries.

It depends on the size of the worm. If they have a worm the size of a maggot and round it is a tape worm. If you go to walmart.com you can look up under pets and get the tape worm medicine for them you will get three pills for under $18. u have to order it from walmart.com since you can not buy them in stores. Other than that take you’r cat to a vet. If the worm is long and round it is round worms and dewormer should just take care of that.

along with the medicine make sure your cat does not have fleas. If they have fleas i suggest Revolution. It takes care of the fleas, ticks, lice, heart worms, and ear mites.
