i thing you should use a cat carrier or if that doesn’t work get a dog carrier.

Cats need to be protected when traveling in a vehicle just as much as people. Seat belts protect people ( usually) - carriers protect pets. Use a carrier even when you take her camping ! Running loose at the campsite might not be safe either.
