My dsh has been licking her fur off. Her belly is bald, her hind legs, and hips are only fuzz. Have added a humidifier, changed to natural, grain-free foods. Vet gave her an antibiotic shot. No changes. Other 2 cats are fine. Other than this fur thingy, she is normal.

This sounds like allergies or stress. I’m taking for granted there are no fleas. There is a product out there call feliway that is suppose to help with stress. I have never used it before. As for allergies your vet would need to treat for those. I did have a cat that had allergies, she had to have a shot around every 3 months to keep it down.

If you’ve ruled out physical causes (mange, fleas, food allergies - cats can be allergic to particular protein sources too like chicken or beef, etc) then it may just be a obsessive-compulsive behavior. There are medications that can be used for pets that combat OCD that you should discuss with your vet.

One of Misty's allergies was to food. When we changed food it got better but still didn't go away. So the shots every 3 months.

It *might* be allergies, that's why I said "IF YOU'VE RULED OUT PHYSICAL CAUSES". It might also not be allergies.

Feliway is a product that (apparently, I’ve only heard of it) relieves some of a cat’s stress. This is, of course, if you are sure it isn’t fleas or any allergies. She might have obsessive-compulsive disorder too. My little DLH, Misty, has a medicine that helps with it and she is still a happy little girl! (We think she got it from her trauma as a kitten - forced breeding and pregnancy in a mill.) But no matter what, go see the vet. If the antibiotic shot didn’t work, talk about other options. Most puzzled vets use the general antibiotic to try and combat whatever is going on.

It is probably because your cat is stressed out. Read the great article on the link provided to learn more about cat licking. http://www.kingcounty.gov/safety/AnimalServices/pettips/cattips/excessivelicking.aspx
Your cat may also have been weaned to early. Find more info about being weaned too early on the link provided.
And, ask your vet if your cat could use a product called Feliway. Feliway is for stressed cats and helps calm them down/

your cat might have flea mites, which is unlikely if your other cats don’t have this same problem. have you tried a cat shampoo? sometimes it’s just a dry skin condition that causes the scratching and bald spots. also, you might want to try daily brushing on that cat with a soft bristle brush, which might help.
