I’ve been dealing with this in one of my cats. Here are the things that have been recommended to me, but I HIGHLY recommend you see your vet. Constipation is painful and can do some real damage if you don’t get it resolved asap.
-Do not feed cats who are prone to constipation dry kibble. Feed them only high quality grain free canned foods.
- Add 5 to 10% daily intake of one of the following mashed into regular canned food / Lettuce, Canned Pumpkin, Zucchini, Squash Baby Food
- Pure aloe vera inner-leaf juice - about 5-10 drops 1-2x/day
- Psyllium husk fiber - a pinch per meal
- Slippery elm bark - about 50-100mg 1-3x/day
- Add a small bit of butter or Extra Virgin olive oil to their canned food
- Benifiber - 1/8 - 1/4 teaspoonful mixed in food twice daily
- Miralax 1/8 - 1/4 teaspoonful mixed in food twice daily–no flavor
I am using Aloe with our cat and she is doing better. I’m also going to add in some Slippery elm Bark. If needed next will be a small amount of veggie for fiber, and the other natural options. Benifiber and miralax would be last resorts. But please, see your vet about this. It’s very painful and you don’t want your cat suffering a minute longer than needed.
Good Luck!

you will have to bring him to the vet so the vet can prescript him medicine that can help his constepation.
