It would be best for you to keep your cat inside and never let it out so it never faces the dangers of outdoor life.

Our cats don’t go outside so I can’t help you with how to get them used to a new area. Other than answer your other question. We work with many Animal Control Officers in our town and the surrounding towns. It’s very common for cats to return to their “old” house.

Try driving around making quiet a few turns for a while before going to the new house, this should confuse the cats to were they don’t know where they are then keep them in the new house for the time being to allow them to adjust to their new environment, gradually allow them outside. I do agree with khushi it is very dangerous for cats to be outside and would be safer to keep them inside.
