I found a great website all about cat urine!

Here’s their take:
Normal cat urine production within a 24 hour period is between 20-44 ml/kg. Each time your cat goes can vary in size, but the 24 hour period should be within the indicated range.

The site goes on to discuss various differences in urine amount, color, smell, everything! :)

One of my cats goes 2-3 times, just small amounts, and the other goes once & it's like a horse found my litter box!! I think as long as the cat is going regularly it's fine. Good to be aware of the regular behaviors in the event that something changes!

My old cat went about 2 times a day.

My kitten goes more often, but she is only 12 weeks old so that may change as she grows.

I think the important thing is to know what’s normal for *your cat* so that if something changes you will notice it, as it may indicate a health problem.
