cat pregnancies

5 Answers  |  Asked By: jenniferjp26   3

My cat goes outside all the time she is not fixed, How can I tell if she has mated? She is approximately 6 or 7 months old possibly older, she was found with her litter mates next to a dumpster when they were only hours old, anyway, I planned to find her a new home since i was in an accident that left me unable to walk, but I would hate to give her away pregnant to be a undesired surprise to the new owners. How can I tell? She has become way more affectionate than before, she constantly comes to me acting really weird and affectionate her nipples are slightly pinker than they were before but no more bigger her stomache only recently within the past day or two become a little harder than before, she has this mass in her stomache but it is only the size of a small egg so what am I looking for?

That is definetly a sign of kittens, Take her to your local vet just to check, once the kittens have arrived get them neutired and wormed keep them with their mother for a year then find new homes for them get them used to dogs and things aswell oh and also keep them inside for 8 weeks or else they will get lost.

this IS a sign of kittens and you should take your cat to the vet. if your vet says she is DEFINATLY pregnant, see if any of your friends have given birth to kittens before because when your cat does give birth (if pregnant) your friend might be able to you out.

ok so this is a sign? hmm she stays outside now because my father hates that she pees every where. she is litter box trained but for some reason she keeps urinating on my blankets and certain places in the house, I don’t know why she keeps doing this she just started about a month ago, she will even do it while the blanket is on me and i am watching her. I am excited and I want to keep her in but she keeps doing this how can I deter her from urinating every where since if she’s pregnant I cant fix her. So how long are they pregnant? With these signs I’ve mentioned what would be your Guess of how far she is along? I am wondering about how far from now should I start keeping her in so she can have them in the warmth and safety of the house since there are so many stray males out in the neighborhood.

Um yes cuzzie luv this I know sweetie, Her vet didnt want to do it until she was 6 months old because she was the runt she was quite slow in development and now that she is 6 months old she may be pregnant, I don’t mind her having kitten sweetie, I am excited about them, I have been a home to care for strays that need homes, I have rescued and fixed and re-homed many pets dogs and cats alike, The Majority of the pets I have rescued were less than 2 weeks old so I know how to care for newborn cats and dogs, I am confident I am prepared to care for kittens, I will be back on my feet from my accident in less than 3 weeks which i’m quite sure she will not have had them by then. I simply wanted to know if this was sign of pregnancy before I paid for an unecessary vet appointment. So Thank you for telling me what I NEED to do!!

You really need to get your kitty spayed. The only exception to not getting your animals spayed or neutered is if you are ready for the kittens and want your pet to have them.
Anyways, it is a sign of pregnancy. Check with the vet to make sure.
