What is Feline AIDS?

The cat I rescued tested positive for Feline Aids. How do they get that and what is the treatment, if any.

feline aids is transmitted from cat to cat in their saliva , and if he tested positive most likely you have to put him to sleep, unfortunally there is no cure for feline aids , the only way to prevent feline aids or lukemia is to have your cat checked and vaccine . My cousin just had the same problem with her cat and unfortunally had to be put to sleep , if you get a cat is better to keep him indoors.

Thank you for that info. The vet had said we would retest in three months because sometimes they test positive after being vaccinated. I'll hope for the best.
