What does the vet tell you they think it is? They must have given a diagnosis.

I can’t really tell you what it is. I can only point you to things it could be. It could be Fleas, Mites, a skin irritant, a food allergy, stress, self mutilation… there are so many things it could be. It really is best to work with your vet when dealing with an issue such as this. If you don’t feel like your getting anywhere then it might be time for a second opinion or a specialists input.

the scabs i believe are ringworm, not the real worm in your stomach, but the fungi that causes redness, scabs, itching. there is a treatment for it by going to your vet and showing them your cat’s condition. i know for sure that it might be the ringworm. if your vet isn’t helping try a different one. the one i went to because one of my cats had it is called Banfield. they gave the cat a prescription of good, strong penicillin and it worked but it can be given to the cat orally. and there’s an ointment that’s put on the infected skin. the medicine is guaranteed to work! there might be one near you. i hope this info helped!!!
