Is it common for a seven year old cat’s K-9 teeth (fangs) to break?
If so what are some causes?
The tooth is not loose just broken beneath the gums. We know it leads to infection and are haveing it checked but is it common?

No, it’s not really common, however it does happen.
It could have been a fall or trama that caused it. It definite needs vet attention now. She is likely in terrible pain.

I do not know how common it is. But it could happen if your cat bites something too hard for their teeth to handle. An item as hard as a rock or so….possibly.
