First, you should be asking your vet why he suggested your cat be on diet food. Obviously she or he thinks your cat is overweight. If that’s the case, have the vet tell you how much your cat weighs and how much it *should* weigh. You should be able to accomplish this with just a phone call.
Either way, toss the diet food. It not only doesn’t contain special nutrients, it’s really really bad food and no cat should eat it, fat or not.

well your cat may not be big but the vet might be worried anout your cat health.fedding your cat is very important because feeding your cat to much it can be over weighted and wont get the energy it need.

i do think diet food is not good for cats. it does not have special nutrients in it. if your cat is not fat then ask your vet why he/she told about giving diet food to your cat.

hmm….i dont think diet food is good for cats fat or none fat….but im not 100% sure so u should maybe ask ur vet…=] alright?

You should make sure your cat is at a healthy weight. If he’s not, you shouldn’t feed him diet food anyway. There are special nutrients in diet food, but other than that, it’s just regular cat food. Just make sure that your cat isn’t overweight and ask your vet.
