Feed your cat and dog at the same time each day, twice a day but in seperate rooms. Keep them on a regular schedule so that when you put food down they eat it and aren’t given the option of just picking at it, or each others, all day.

Another option is to feed them both Nature’s Variety Instincts canned food. Even though they’re labeled differently, they are EXACTLY the same.

I have exactly the same problem! What I do, is sprinkle a little cat food on my dogs food, and a little dog food on my cats food. This seems to be enough for them, so then they don’t steal it from the other.

A cat can eat dog food, but cat food is bad for a dog because it’s very very high protein and can make them sick. It would be like you eating straight sticks of butter.
