The website recommended by Kat is a good one and so is http://www.cats.about.com . Be sure to read up on new kitten care - caring for the tiny ones can be very challenging ! Do use Kitten Replacement Milk , be very careful with the temperature of the milk ( too hot will burn , too cold will give your baby tummy cramps or diahrea ) and remember to help your little one pee and poop . Don’t hesitate to call or visit a vet if you have any doubts or concerns ! My little one developed an infection and had digestive problems but vet care got us through it. If your kitty is reluctant to feed from the bottle check the temp and you may have to enlarge the hole in the nipple. BTW , my kitty is now big, strong , healthy and confident. Good luck and bless you for caring !

Kat is totally right. I found some kittens (6) and I had to go to the pet store and get the KMR kitten replacement milk for them. Now they are about 5 weeks old, and still on the bottle. The runt, who was a lot smaller then the others, was not wanting to drink from the bottle at first. But I took my time with her and now she eats just fine. We lost one of them a few days ago due to a Tumor, but the others are doing just fine. Good luck with your little one. By the way, the kitten will need to eat about every 3-4 hours until it it about 5 to 6 weeks old, then you can introduce it to dry cat food, but you have to water it down with warm water to make it moist for the kitten to eat it. The kittens teeth are very brittle at this point.

Unfortunately, cow’s milk is not nutritious enough for kittens - they will slowly starve to death on it. It also causes diarrhea which is extremely dangerous for young kittens. If you can’t get to a pet store right away, consult our recipes for a goat’s-milk based Emergency Kitten Formula. Your first purchase should be a pet nursing kit and kitten formula, available at pet stores. The nursing kit usually includes a bottle, several extra nipples, and a cleaning brush. Cut an “X” in the tip of your first nipple with scissors. Kitten formula (brands include KMR and Just Born) is more economical if purchased in powdered form to be mixed as needed. Pet supply catalogs offer very good values on these products.

Just fill the bottle with milk then you have to microwave it so that the milk is warm. than just put the milk in the kittens mouth and it will start drinking it!
