Should i be feeding my cat left over bacon? I alway cook the whole package when i make it and always seem to have some left over, with no one else around but her i usually just give her the last 4 slices or so.

One strip of cooked bacon has approximately 43 calories, 30 of which are fat. That means one strip of bacon is 70 percent fat. A 10 pound cat that is spayed/neutered requires approximately 190 calories a day. If you are feeding your cat four strips of bacon, that is 172 calories, 120 of which are fat. That means your cat is only getting 52 non-fat calories and has virtually met all her calorie requirements for the day. If you are still feeding her regular diet as well, she is not only getting too many calories for the day but also getting a considerable amount of fat. Doing this on a regular basis puts her health at serious risk. If you insist on feeding her bacon, you should feed no more than a couple of tiny bites of the meat portion and only on a very occasional basis.

It is OK, but I think you are giving her too much. That’s a lot of fat for a little cat heart.

no do not give your cat bacon it is VERY bad for their heart your cat will have health problems if you keep feeding it bacon

My grandparent’s cat Cody is 19 years old,and he gets human food every now and again(pretty rarely tho).He’s living breathing proof that you can feed your cats human food,but rarely and in small amounts.4 slices a day is WAY too much…

Your cat will be happier but it will not be healthier. Bacon has a lot of fat in it and 4 slices is definitely too much for a cat, no matter how old she is.
