Please don’t curse there are kids on this site you know! And it’s normal for all animals to eat there feces . It’s called something called caltrophou . It’s when they produce feces that are soft and have vitamans in them that they need . So , they just eat it over again…

To get your cat to stop eating it’s you know what just supervise it whil it is using the bathroom like don’t look but when she or he is done just tap the litter box a bit and make a psssssst sound so she or he wont eat her you know what!

I’m not even going to ask why your cat would even want to eat her own feces.That’s not normal. However, if her feces were obviously something once inside her, then by eating it, she’ll be fine. She’s just gonna crap it out again and again anyway. Ew.

Eating one’s own stool, a behavior also known as coprophagia, is common in dogs but very rare in cats. Dogs are notorious for eating things that humans find extremely distasteful, stool included. However cats do not normally eat their own stool, and when they do this type of behavior could be a sign of an underlying mental problem.
I am looking for a solution also. I have a rescued kitten, about 4 months old who is exhibiting this behavior. I just noticed it yesterday and my immediate solution is to keep any feces cleaned up so it is unavailable to the kitten.
Also, I agree that the person who must use foul language is immature and probably ignorant, possibly mentally and emotionally deficient and is trying to get attention by using that language. He also probably has a low IQ and finds it difficult to express himself with his low vocabulary.

Eating feces is problematic for ANY animal - dogs and cats included. Feces contains bacteria and potentially parasites. A quick and easy way for your dog or cat to get worms is to allow them to dine on feces. Please refrain from letting your pets imbibe any fecal matter.

I would suggest supervising your dog more closely. If feces is cleaned from the yard after defecation and the dog is kept on a leash when you venture out into the world, it should not be difficult to stop them from eating feces!
