4 times per day is best… but if you can’t do 4 then three times per day is fine.
Remember, the main objective when feeding kittens is to feed more of a high quality food, more times per day because they burn it so fast even when they are doing nothing because they are growing. Kittens pretty much need to eat as much as they want… whenever they want it because they burn it off so fast.

i would leave food out so when your cat feels hungry she/he can just go and have how much she/he wants. like Kat said, kittens burn it off VERY quickly so leave food out until she is 6-8 months old then gradually put less food in the bowl and when she/he turns 1 year old start timing her/his food

You should have dry kitten food (softened with water so it is easier to eat) available to your kitten at all times. At that age, he is only going to eat as much as he needs. As your kitty gets older though, you will want to ask your vet how much food he should eat each day.

Never offer Dry cat food moistened with water. The water takes up to much space that should instead be filled with nutrients that growing kittens need.. Offer canned cat food instead.

As well as the dry kitten food softened with water, also leave a bowl of dry kibble to munch on.

im not sure, depends how much you feed it. if you feed it about a little spoonful (or wet food) maybe 2-3 times a day. and since you kitten is little, i would feed it canned food and in like 4-5 days, try it out with dry food.
