It is natural for cats to hunt but can get sick from the prey becuase it can be dirty or have a diesease from other stuff.Your cat can get in a fight or get ran over so if ur cat is hunting at watch it then when it has killed the prey and the cat leaves discard the carcass and clean up any blood (option) if u don\\\’t want ants in your yard.try to feed the cat more often and buy more cat toys.

Hunting is natural for cats. They do it in the wild all the time. But I would keep an eye out–some rats could be carrying sicknesses or parasites.

Yes it\’s fine, but there is a danger too, your cat from eating the wild animal could get a deadly disease, and die! Otherwise it\’s fine! If your cat starts acting weird take your cat to the vet right away , your cat could have worms or a deadly disease.

Haha this post reminds me of one of my cats I had years ago. Yes it\\\’s ok for your kitty to hunt, as long as you are feeding him/her cat food and mice isn\\\’t all she\\\’s eating.
So this cat I had her name was Mama Kitty, she also liked to eat mice. However she didn\\\’t just like to eat them. You could tell when she had caught a mouse in the middle of the night because you could hear her munching on them. Just incase you didn\\\’t hear her eating one she would leave a bit of them for you to find in the morning. Often it was a tail, a foot, or an ear, but my mom told me of one time she\\\’d found a little mouse nose, with two front teeth and whiskers attached.

Cats can get all kinds of parasites from eating wild rodents and birds - roundworms, tapeworms, fleas, toxoplasmosis, and so on… you really shouldn\\\’t let your cat run around outside unsupervised.

Not only is your cat affecting wild animals like songbirds (which are protected under the law) but your cat is at risk for being hit by a car, killed by a stray dog, fox or coyote, get in fights and get diseases from other cats, poisons left out by neighbors and a lot of other things. If you want to let your cat out, make sure it is in a securely fenced garden or some other enclosed yard that it cannot climb out of, or put it on a harness and leash.

Only thing is parasites and bones. Other than that, domestic cats are the most deadliest on this planet . Being they hunt just for fun and all kinds of species smaller than them (which is a lot).

Hunting is natural for cats, and should be encouraged. If you feed your cat healthily, it should just prefer to kill and then leave the food, but if not, you can collect the carcass after the kill so the cat can\\\’t eat it. You can also tie a string to the carcass and then you have a super cool cat toy. Jynxy isn\\\’t a very good hunter, but one time i took another cat that had been killed by a car and tied some twine to it… then i led the carcass slowly around trees and lawn furniture and Jynxy loved it! She pounced and stalked it all day. But the carcasses eventually get too smelly, but there are always new finds to be made.
