okay, just get your cat familiar with the carrier. Leave it open and let the cat walk in when it pleases. Gradually, it will get used to the carrier. We did that with my cat and eventually it worked on him, and now he is quite content in it.

We cut carpet pieces that have rubber backs to put in our carriers. Such as an old bathroom carpet. Or for a few dollars, buy the small carpet and it can be cut in half. If a cat is afraid and steps into the carrier, the plastic can be slippery. An nice carpet provides footing and a cozy place to curl up for a nap.

I agree with all of these posters about allowing your cat to become comfortable with the carrier on his own. However, sometimes you just need to get them into it. Both of my cats love their carrier and hang out in it periodically, but if I\\\’m trying to get them into it, they are NOT interested and will put up quite a fight. I\\\’ve found that the easiest way to get them in when they\\\’re protesting is to stand the carrier upright and lower them down into it, close the door, then slowly lower it back down to the ground. It works MUCH better than trying to force the cat in with all 4 paws on the ground.

DONT force the idea and you should let it roam freely around the house and let it get used to it under its own accord

I agree with Elsqueako. This is the best thing you can do.I also suggest put some of his favorite toys in it when it\\\’s time for you to put him in the carrier.

ya that is probably the same thing with me as Elsqueako and catlover maybe put some food maybe toys but the best thing is to let it walk in all by it\\\’s selve

I agree with all of the above positive ways to get your cat familiar with the carrier.
