I do believe that cats get lonesome when they are alone. When we went to Campobello Island in Canada for two days, we had to leave our cat home–one of which is a skittish cat. When our neighbor came to ‘check on everything’ she said that our little skittish cat came right on up to her for attention! And when I got home–being her favorite in the house–she was meowing and jumping all over me for attention. I do believe your cat will miss you or at least miss his cuddle time with you. I would suggest maybe asking a friend who cares a lot about cats to come over and play with them–maybe feed them too.

He’ll likely be lonely if he’s the only cat. 2 days isn’t terribly excessive, though, so it should be fine. Make sure you leave out plenty of water and food. You may want to ask someone to check on him, too.
Be prepared for the cold shoulder when you get home, too. My cats are funny. When we leave them for a few days, at first they are all over us for about an hour or two. Then they ignore us for about a day or so… like they’re punishing us. It’s cute. They snap back to normal quickly enough, though! ![]()

Mine start acting funny every year when we start getting our gear together for our annual camping trip. The past two years I have actually had my brother stay at our house while we are out of town, both to watch the house and make sure our cats aren’t alone too long.

Some cats may be totally ok with it, some cats may get totally stressed out. To make sure your cat has a good experience, it might be best to hire a pet sitter.

Sure they think about you! The vet told me that cats are used to a schedule. So if the schedule is different, they’ll know something’s up. I found this link, but it might not be as helpful. It’s about how you know they miss you. Check it!

Yeah Some cats feel loneysome if their master is not there for them. They would surely miss their loved ones. Do make sure to keep lots of water and food for your cat. Also ask someone to check your cat.
