When choosing a collar for your new kitten a couple of things should be taken into consideration. First off, make sure that the collar you choose is a safety collar, meaning that it will come undone by itself should the cat get caught on something, preventing choking. Secondly be sure that the collar has a ring on it where you can attach an ID tag. This is very important should your cat ever become separated. Also make sure that the collar is neither too loose nor too tight. You should be able to comfortably slip two of your fingers into the space between the collar and the cat’s neck. Once these considerations have been met, the choice of a collar is up to your personal taste! A wide selection of fun designer collars for cats can be now be found at many pet stores as well as online at http://www.petco.com.
