YES I THINK IT IS NORMAL TO TALK TO YOUR CAT.I TALK TO MY CAT ALL THE TIME AND ITS FUNNY BECAUSE WHEN I TALK TO HER SHE MEOWS LIKE SHE UNDERSTAND.SO YES THEY DO UNDERSTAND YOU ITS ALL IN THE WAY U TALK TO THEM THEY CAN READ FACE EXPRESSIONS AND HAND GESTURES.SO DON’T FEEL FUNNY TALKING TO YOUR CAT U NEVER KNOW YOUR CAT MIGHT ONE DAY MEOW BACK IN RESPONSE TO WHATEVER YOU TWO CONVERSATION MIGHT BE ABOUT.MEOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i talk to my cats all the time and they respond….i think they understand somethings u say but mostly i think they recognize tones in your voice such as ur tone when u are being nice to them or the tone u have when u are yelling at them….they definitly can tell when u are mad or showing them some love

Yes, I think it’s normal to talk to your pets. They know your tones. They learn their names. Now if we could just understand what they say back to us. By the way don’t tell them your are going to give them a bath, you might have a hard time finding them.
