my poor poor cat Garfield
came home at night one night
with a bloody face their was blood
on his side of his face on his nose
around his eye i don’t care if he was
in a cat fight or fell but all i need are
answers about what to do with his face
i can’t bring him inside because he has
scratched us all badly and he can’t get
surgery or see a vet what can i do to help him

You should wash the cuts/scratches with a real soap (like Ivory), not a beauty bar or moisturizing \\\’soap\\\’ or other soap with a fragrance. Be very careful around the eyes. And make sure you rinse all the soap off. For a deepscratch, you might use an antibacterial salve or hydrogen peroxide. But your cat will likely do his own washing with a paw, and may become upset if anyone tries to clean it. Easiest to use a damp cloth that has been lightly rubbed across the soap. It was from a fight, most likely because a female in the neighborhood is in heat. And you should expect this to happen again as long as he needs neutering. As long as other males are bigger, faster and more street smart, he will continue to be injured frequently. Can you put him in a carrier or garage overnight? The longer he goes without being neutered, the bigger the chance that his actions will become so much of a habit that even neutering won\\\’t help. Some vets or shelters may be willing to work something out on neutering (such as a discount or long term payment plan at $5 or $10 a month for five to ten months). If not, you should try to save up the money yourself (a good practice anyway). Good luck.
