Everytime I set my cat down it falls asleep.Is that bad?

Yes it is perfectly normal!
cats are nocturnal so they do sleep all day.
they are supposed to sleep around 18hrs a day.
so it is OK!

I don’t know the age of your kitty, so it may be his age, or if he is a young cat then it is perfectly normal. Kittens and young cats sleep a lot and that is completely ok.

Cats actually are only supose to sleep 14 hours! But it is still normal your cat is probly up when you are asleep.

Cats usually sleep 18 hours a day or more,this action is fine,all cats do that in their life,But if your kitty sleeps more than 18 hours BUT does not eat it’s food,this may be the sign of sickness.So be alert of any sickness signs
