i think my cat ate a bird

my cat Garfield lives outside
and i found a dead bird
where he always is but no Garfield
do cats eat birds and are they harmfull
to them he looks so much fatter now

Its fine, cats eat almost anything smaller than themselves. Actually, if you don\\\’t want your cat to kill things, keep him inside, but we like it because it keeps the groundhogs away from our house, and we used to have TONS of squirrels and now, we still have a lot, but not as much ever since we got our one cat.
Oh, also don\\\’t be alarmed if your cat brings a dead animal to you, he is just saying that he loves you.

Cats do eat birds. For a very small bird, the cats will eat the whole thing. For larger birds, they will usually not eat the wings, because the long bones can be dangerous for them to swallow or even chew.

Our cats catch and eat birds too. Don\\\’t worry about it. Your cat is just showing his natural behavior. But just one important thing! Always clear away the birds your cat kills so they don\\\’t go rotten. Then they would be harmful to your cat!
