You need the basics. A litter box, cat litter, appropriate food for her age(Iams or Cat Chow are very good brands), and a water bowl. You should also get your kitty a collar and a license as soon as you can. Call 3-1-1! They can help you, and it only costs $14.00 for the license. Other things like catnip, treats, toys, and a scratching post are essentials. Cats need help adjusting to their new home, and having their own things around will help them settle in. The scratching post will save your furniture, cat nip will help relax her, after the high wears off, and toys will give her something to play with when you are not there. Keep kitty and her litter box together in a small room, like a bathroom, so she can get use to using the box. Then let her out a little at at time to get to know the rest of the place. Try to keep her litter box in the same place so she remembers where it is. Otherwise, she should get to know and love her new home in about a week or so. Have fun and meow for now!
