hoe old do the kittens have to be before i seperate them from the mom or their siblings

8 weeks is the age its sounds like a long time nut that is when it is fully weaned dont give it away any earlier

8 weeks at the earliest but in 2 to 3 months after the cat is born is the best time

after 8 weeks kittens can be separated by their mom
at this age they are fully weaned from their mother and can be given away after that.

much, much later after they’re born. about 5 months because anything smaller than that is too, too young for them to be seperated from thier mother. they need to be taught the basic skills of survival like feeding and playing and living on thier own. by that time, they won’t be needing any milk from their mother, which they do feed on until they’re about 4 to 6 months old, and then they feed on dry or canned food. then they’ll be able to live w/ out thier mother’s support and be considered as adults. but if they leave their mother at about 8 weeks, they’ll still need her love and support. :)

They should be weaned at 8 weeks old, but should stay with the Mom untill 12 weeks old, in order to learn essential survival skills.
