Cats are generally considered adult at one year but from what I\\\’ve read and experienced, a more accurate discription is cats are adolescent from one to two years. They finish growing, fill out and they settle into their personalities.

but they can start going into heat at the age of 2 months

A cat becomes a senior cat at 6 years but senior is different than adult.In my opinion a cat becomes a adult at 2 or 3 years depending on the breed an the cats personality.

Well they can go into heat a six month. One or two years i would say for adult. Depending on the breed. At six years they are senior.
