i would recommend at least food ,toys,and a sratching post. if u dont have any spare bowls u should get a food and water bowl. these are the basic things u need for a cat.

a scratching post most deffiantly. and if its a kitten the best one would be with a little toy on top of the scratching post that bongs around. food and water bowls,toys and collar and tags. :}
so if the kitty gets away they can call you or get a chip :}
