My cat uses the litter pan to pee but poops on the carpet. She\’s 14 weeks old and new to the home and we have an older cat in the house.

its just a little kitty you try to teach to poop in the litter box and scold him or her when they “go” on the carpet or theyll think its ok to “go” on the carpet

I’ve had the same problem with my cats.All I did was watch them and when they started to go on the floor I would correct them(say things like”No!”or your cats name).Then carry them to the litter pan.After a while they get used to using that insread of the floor and go on they’re own.

every time they go on the floor take them to the litter pan so they get used to it

when they are young you should drag them if its necessary to the little box or litter pan. after a few weeks up to a month they will use the litter pan/box.

Just be pacitent if she poos in the same spot on the carpet put orange peels there or just when she squats say no and place her in the litter box
