What do I do about my cat coughing up hair balls.

well 1 thing that i would do, if he is a long haird cat, take him to the vet, and get him a fur-cut. (don’t worry, the fur will grow back in the winter.)if he is short haird, brush him really good 1-2 times a day.

I don’t know if you can stop him from coughing hairballs, but you can stop him from shedding a lot. Try to brush his fur more. It will take off loose hairs so when he licks his fur, he won’t “eat” that much fur.

those are both very good answers, but i would recommend stop letting your cat eat your hairy balls.
