Yes you should! The sooner you get kitty used to this, the better. They make special toothbrushes and toothpaste for cats (and dogs). There are a few different varieties of brushes - some are like human brushes but smaller, some slip over your finger.
The toothpaste is meat flavored usually - you definitely don’t want to use human toothpaste.

There are several alternatives to this too, although it seems likely that brushing will be the most effective. These include supplements you add to the food or water, sprays, homeopathic remedies such as fragaria, and dental wipes.
Another method is to provide your kitty with raw meaty bones such as chicken necks. This is what I do. I meant to brush my girls’ teeth but just failed miserably. But every night they get a portion of chicken neck and so far so good!

Oops, I forgot to address the frequency question. I don't have a definite answer, but obviously daily would be best, but just do what you can. Every other day, every week....either would be fine unless kitty has very bad teeth in which case the more frequent would be better.

Yes you should; it reduces oral disease, bacteria, tooth decay, and bad breath! It is recommended that you brush your cat’s teeth everyday. It’s also harder for older cats to get used to it, so start as soon as possible. Yes just use water and a really soft tooth brush and don’t ever use toothpaste it is like posin to cats!
