Waiting until they are 8 weeks is best. But is there is a reason for them needing bathed, such as fleas, you can safely bathe them in warm water and dawn dish soap. The dawn drowns the fleas. Rinse well and do NOT let them catch a chill at all. Keep the room very warm with a heater until you are 100% sure they are dry completely.

If they are covered in feces or urine, you can safely bathe them with baby shampoo. Only bath them if they are covered in ick though. If it’s just something on thier fur, use a warm wet wash cloth and wipe the problem away.

A kitten needs to be of at least 8 weeks old to have a bath with the pet shampoo. But if he or she is dirty and really needs to be cleaned, then wash it with warm water ONLY. Do NOT use any soaps, at a young age they may have a reaction to the soap and it could hurt your kitten. So just with warm water will work. I just bottle fed kittens and I had them since they were about a week old. They had poop and pee all over them, and I called the vet, and they said to use only warm water until they are at least 8 weeks of age. Good luck with them. If you need more information on how to care for a young kitten like that, feel free to email me personally. emilieecarterson@yahoo.com My name is Brandi. Good luck with your little baby.
