If your cat is going out, you will be battling fleas always. Treat your cat once a month with Frontline or Advantage.

When you give a cat a flea bath, you have to pick the fleas off. Tweezers work best so they don’t escape. Have a bottle of alcohol handy to drop the fleas into. Too many flea baths can make your cat sick. I really believe it\\\’s best to use Frontline or Advantage.

You can buy Advantage or Frontline for cats that go in and out but the fastest and cheapest flea bath to give a cat is actually using Dawn DishSoap…It only kills the fleas on the cat at the time but it does kill them. You still need to treat the house for them as well…My mom buys a flea powder, locks the cats up in the bathroom, and sprinkles it everywhere then she vacuums about an hour later everywhere the powder is….I have also heard that it can be done with baby powder but have never tried it.

Fleas are a major problem for our pets! They can can many health issues. The only thing that I have found in the last 30 years of cat rescues that help is the products that came out just afeww years back, such as Advantage. I have a friend of 20 years that is an awesome vet and as he said \\\”flea collars are only good in that they trip the fleas on the way to the neck\\\”. The cost of the products such as avantage may seem high on face, however, when you consider the cost of flea shampoos, collars and vet bills, the cost is really minimal.
