we dont like pools when we first jump in but after a while we get used to it, maybe cats never get used to it.

Because they don’t want to be wet,cold, and they don’t dry off as quickly as dogs do. Cats don’t realize to shake the wet off so dogs do so that is why dogs get dry faster.
Can’t really relate to your question because my cats love water, they are always staying in their water bowls and playing in them always.

because cats just don’t like to get wet and make their fur wet.
also they feel cld after having bath so they hate this and that is why cats hate water

my cat drinks my bath water but i try to help him by holding him closer to the water but he claws me plus its hot water id think that hed like to drink cold water better
