Yes, its because they feel good, but actually they pure real loudly sometimes when they are scared or nervous, like my cat, he is a feral cat…thats why hes so awkward and when i come near ti pet him he starts purring… i hope this helps catkat..but i know sumbody give better answer then me..so have patience.
