Cats are nocturnal animals. Meaning- They like to do most of their activities at night. Also they have a very good night vison. Hunting at night is very natural for them.

Cats are natural nocturnal. In the wild they are night hunters. Cats sleep a lot during the day, but are often awake at night. Don’t punish your kitty if she’s walking around at night and making noise. She’s only doing what comes naturaly to her!

I agree, They are very active at night, I have 2 cats, and they are always jumping on the bed at all hours of the night. During the day they eat and sleep. Nocturnal is right. To me, they are my kids, so whatever they do is fine with me. Couldn’t ask for better indoor cats! Yes proud mama!!

a very bad answer. cats are active during the night because they have really good night vision. while other animals are sleeping during the night, the cats use their night vision to hunt their prey. and to save up for their night energy cats sleep all during the day. ive also heard that cats become very active about half an hour after they eat, but i dont know why
